Hello Delightful You,

How are you, my friend?

I’m thinking of you and popping by with a quick hello.

I hope you are having a good day so far. If you are, please share your joy with someone.

If you are having a hard time, practice reaching out.

Sharing our sorrows or troubles is not a burden on others. People want to be there for us. And sometimes those challenging feelings pass through much more quickly when we speak them in a safe space.

Really. Listen to me: people WANT to support us. They do.

It may not feel carefree or easy. It may not be fun like confetti and clapping — but when we reach out and ask for help it is a way of CONNECTING deeply to others.

And we all want that, right? Connection is a huge part of being human.

Connection is a gift.

Sometimes when I write about this topic of asking for help, people tell me that I don’t understand. That some people are not available or kind. That some people are self-absorbed and don’t listen.

I get that.

AND — I am really hoping that you have a best friend or a mom. Or that you have a spiritual counselor or therapist. Or that you have a kind uncle or sweet cousin or caring neighbor. I’m hoping you have one or two people in your life who love you and who WANT to support you.

People who love us don’t just want the upbeat, happy us. They want all of us.

Because then, they feel free to be all of who they are, too.

Of course if you are having a hard time, don’t just reach out to anyone. Be selective. Choose the kindest one you know!

💥💓💥

I send you love today, my friend.

If you are having a hard time, reach out for help.

If you are energized and feeling good, reach out to someone who needs help!

We’re all in this together.

We are all just walking each other home, as Ram Dass said so beautifully.

Thanks for who you are and for your beautiful spirit.

Seek celebration — even in the dark corners,

xo Sherry
