Hello Simply Celebrate friend!
It’s almost Father’s Day and I have a last-minute gift idea for you.
This is a gift you can make for your father, for your children’s father, for someone who has been like a father to you, or for any favorite father you know!
It is a no-cost, all-love gift that won’t even take you that much time to make!
Win. Win. Win!

My friend Tamara has three awesome daughters. I’ve never met them in person, but I’ve loved them from afar whenever I hear stories about them from Tamara.
These three wonderful teens —Cassidy, McKenna + Cori — got wind of my Love List idea some years ago and they decided to make a video for their dad, Steve.
Watch their Love List Video Gift here!
The first time I watched their video, I was in tears the whole time. It was simply so moving to witness the love these girls have for their Dad and the creative way they expressed it.
You might choose to watch this video to get inspiration for a Dad’s day gift for someone.
Or, you might watch it just because you want to feel that warm tug at your heartstrings.
No matter why you watch it, I hope you’ll be sure to notice how infectious love is. We don’t have to know this family in order to be uplifted by their love.
When people put love into action, the ripples are felt for many miles and many moons.

For those of you who may want to try a Love List Video Gift yourself — for Father’s Day, birthdays, graduation or other occasions, below are some things I learned from Cassidy, McKenna + Cori.
A few great tips you can learn from these awesome gals:
- Go for connection, not perfection. (They let themselves be goofy and didn’t let small glitches get in the way of the joy.)
- Include just a few heartwarming or fun photos at the start of your video to set the mood.
- Be completely yourself! (I just love how each of their personalities shines through in the video.)
- Tag on some outtakes or bloopers at the end. (This part is so much fun!)
- Set your video to upbeat music that the recipient will love.
- Include something unexpected. (The cat talking! The ending shot of their feet!)
- Don’t wait. The idea is here in front of you at this moment. Think of someone whom you want to pay tribute to and say it now!
If you make a video, I hope you’ll choose to share it with me. Email me here!

P.S. Don’t think that you need to have any fancy equipment or a videographer to create a Love List video. You know that smartphone in your pocket? It has everything you need! Shoot the video on your phone, then send it to the recipient via email, make a presentation on your computer, or post it to YouTube. Keep it simple … the point is LOVE!
P.P.S. If making a video doesn’t appeal to you, but the idea of a Love List does, then type or write your list as a gift. Or, write your list on pieces of paper and create a Joy Jar Love List. Use you imagination to present your list!
P.P.P.S. If you have ever made a Love List — or when you make your first one!— please take half a minute to log it on my Million Love List page. (I want to inspire a million Love Lists in my life and YOU can help me reach that goal!)
P.P.P.P.S. Big hugs and special thanks to Cassidy, McKenna + Cori and also to their awesome parents, Steve and Tamara, for giving me permission to share this very personal gift with the world. I’m grateful for their generosity and for the love they share so freely.
P.P.P.P.P.S. Please take some time today to appreciate yourself and to celebrate who you are. Don’t wait another minute to acknowledge your generous heart and your beautiful spirit. I see you. You are absolutely lovable. YOU MATTER!
