Hello! I’m sending love and light as we embark on a brand new year!
I’m hoping as part of the kick-off to 2019 you will play along with me in a very fun game! Read on for details!
A tiny bit of background:
I had a rather magical experience the last time I took myself on an overnight retreat to Josephine’s Cabin. If you’ve been following along with me for any length of time, it’s likely you’ve heard me talk about taking myself on these writing getaways and intention-setting retreats for the past number of years. I try to get off the grid at least four times a year at this one-room cabin where there is no phone service or internet.
No exaggeration, these retreats have changed my life.
Something magical always happens. It’s uncanny. And very fun!
When I was there at the end of November, one of my writing projects was an article for the website, Kind Over Matter. I didn’t have any idea what I was going to write about, but within minutes of arriving at the cabin, an idea sparked from something I saw in the cabin.
I started writing. Then I went to get some tea. Something else unexpected sparked. I wrote some more. Something else magical happened. I wrote.
I felt like I was on a private whimsical scavenger hunt set up for me by the Universe. It became a game!
And it is a game that I REALLY want you to join in.
To understand how to play, you need to read the essay I wrote as I was on this “scavenger hunt.” (Don’t worry — the article isn’t that long!) At the end, I offer my invitation for you to join in.
Here’s the link to the article + how to play.
After you read the article and play along, will you comment in the comment section of that article and let me know about your experience? (It will be very fun, I promise!)
At the end of January, I’ll put the names of anyone who participated in a hat (literally!) and draw one person to win a prize. Then I can keep the game in play that way! (You’ll see what I mean when you read the piece!)
Winning the prize is not the real prize, though. Playing is.
See you in the game!!!
Seek celebration — even in dark corners,
xo Sherry
P.S. Don’t set this aside to do another day. This is something that will be a big pinprick of light in your life if you play along. Really. Trust me on this. I know. Set your timer for 15 minutes, read the essay, play along. Voila, happiness!
