Your best tips for turning scarcity on its head?

07-31-2012

Last week I posted a video with one of my favorite tips for turning scarcity on its scrawny li'l head. If you didn't have a chance to watch it, take a peek now. It's only three minutes. And I promise you'll learn an easy tool you can use in lots of different ways.

I've been thinking a lot about the topic of scarcity/abundance. Next week I'm launching my six-week coaching program called Scarcity into Abundance: Talk Yourself into It. Just planning the class brought up all kinds of issues of scarcity — and abundance— for me!

For instance, thinking about pricing for the class. How much feels like "too" much to charge? How much feels like "too little?" When does Monkey-mind sneak in and question me for leading such a class? (That "who are you?" voice is a scarcity voice!) When do I feel like I have a lot to give? When do I feel like there aren't enough people taking the class versus lots of people taking the course? Is there enough material? Too little? Too much? I've been sitting back taking notes. Watching the interplay, like shadows and light.

I've been using scarcity/abundance as a measuring stick for my state of mind for quite a while now. When I notice I'm in scarcity, I love to look for ways to flip it into abundance. When I'm in abundance, I like to practice pausing to take it in, express gratitude, and watch the sensation of fullness grow.

This morning, following my meditation, I was enoying an expansive feeling of having enough. Of being enough. From that place I could see so clearly that my class will be perfect exactly as it is. The number of participants will be perfect exactly as they are. However it unfolds will be perfect exactly as it is. Enough. Perfect as is. Everything. Okay. Right now.

If you're interested in exploring this topic with me over a six week period, I'd LOVE to have you come along on the journey. If money is an issue, send me an email and let's see what we can do. I want to share these great tools and practices. That's where the real abundance lives.

In the meantime, I'd love to hear your thoughts on ways that you shake up that scarcity skeleton in your own life. Comment here via Facebook or send me an email!
