Hello Delightful You!
Thanks for joining me for another weekly LoveGram. I’m glad to be here with YOU.
Today I send you a butterscotch colored cat curled up in your lap, purring.
I send you a cheerful wave and smile from a stranger you pass on the street.
I send you magnolias in blushing pink, white, and purple, catching your eye as you stroll your neighborhood.

In today’s audio LoveGram we are in conversation about making connections in a short amount of time.
Yep, I know: we’ve talked about this before, haven’t we?!
I’m bringing it up again because I’ve been thinking about the “loneliness epidemic” as declared by the U.S. Surgeon General. I’m thinking of friendship and how essential it is.
I want to challenge you to be the one to initiate and to elevate friendships.
I know it can feel vulnerable or maybe it is hard to let go of past grudges. But life is short and goes by fast and we all need to love and be loved.

I’m super interested in what is possible in small amounts of time.
I want to thank those of you who have taken me up on my offer for a 15-minute hello call — I call ’em coffee klatches. It has been so wonderful to meet some of you whom I’ve never spoken with!
Having the coffee klatches with many of you has helped me see that true connection can happen in a small space of time — even in just a quarter of an hour!
You’ve inspired me to send my Calendly link to friends I haven’t spoken to in a long time or to people I barely know, but want to know better.
Just yesterday, I had a 15-minute chat with Sue, another author from Mango Publishing, whom I’ve been lucky enough to interview in the past. I’ve always enjoyed her so much. She’s a spark of joy and it was amazing how deep we could get in such a small amount of time.
If you’ve been waiting to take action on connecting with someone you love, TRY THIS. Ask for a 15-minute call. If you do it on Zoom, you will get to see their big smile.
In addition to being a way to connect when you don’t have a lot of time, these 15-minutes calls can also be great ways to practice setting boundaries; ways to be with people when you are emotionally on edge; ways to lower the bar a little and have less serious conversations; ways to jump into the deep end quickly; and ways to prove to yourself that when you show up with great focus and intention, a lot can happen!
Please try this! Even if YOU don’t feel lonely, I bet someone in your circle does. We just don’t know who needs a boost sometimes until we give it!

I see your generous heart.
I know you want to be as loving as possible for people in your life.
I know you are doing the best you can.
Just remember: small actions that happen are way better than big intentions waiting to happen!
Experience the power of a quarter of an hour by setting up a talk with someone you’ve been missing. I promise, you will be glad you did!
Seek celebration — even in dark corners,
xo Sherry
