Hello wonderful friend.

I send you a kitten in your lap, purring like a little motor.

I send you a steaming cup of hot apple cider with a pretty orange slice floating at the top.

I send you the crunch of snow as you walk through a quiet forest at sunset.

Today’s audio LoveGram was recorded spontaneously during a conversation with my dear friend, Tricia, a couple weeks ago.

I was visiting Tricia at her home in Mill Valley, not far from where I live in San Francisco.

Over the holidays, Tricia had had a stroke following a planned surgery on a valve in her heart which had been damaged from rheumatic fever as a child.

Her cognitive abilities were greatly impacted and she temporarily lost the ability to talk or write. It was super scary, because of course we didn’t know if she would recover. (Thankfully she DID fully recover! WHEW!)

If you’ve ever experienced this with someone, you know how the “veil” gets lifted and suddenly everything in life gets put into perspective.

When someone we love is gravely ill or passes away, we get clear on priorities, don’t we?

Right before I turned on the recorder, that’s what Tricia and I were talking about. I was saying that I wished I could remember ALL the time what a miracle it is that the people we love are walking and talking.

I wish I could remember to be grateful simply because someone I love is ALIVE.

You’ll hear when you listen to this audio, that that thought led us to talking about what can get in the way of our being that clear on what really matters.

Tricia shares that one of her mentors, Mary Morrissey, would often say “There are things that you aren’t doing that occupy space in your consciousness. The undone things take up space from other things.”

Thus, today’s LoveGram is an encouragement to make a list of those things and to do them

It is an encouragement to clear away all the things that keep us from remembering what is really important — the people we love!

Thus, the question is: what are you not doing? What is undone that is occupying space in your brain? Will you make a list and start to chip away at those things?

Will you clear space in your head so you have lots of focus and energy on the most important things?!

Thank you for being here with me.

I know you are here because you want to feel alive. You want to feel free to be who you really are. You want to live a kind, generous, loving life.

I know you are here because, like me, you are practicing to remember every day what really matters.

We get to do this together.

All of these conversations we are having help us connect to ourselves and to what matters most. Our conversations jumpstart more energy and enthusiasm in our lives — and MORE LOVE for ourselves and others.

We’re on this journey together.  As Ram Dass says, “We are all just walking each other home.”

I’m GRATEFUL for you.

Seek celebration — even in dark corners,

xo Sherry

💖 P.S. The book I mention is called “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz. The first agreement is “Be impeccable with your word.” When we do the things we say we are going to do, we are impeccable with our word!
