How are you, my friend?
It is Saturday morning and I’m just checking in on you and hoping to offer a moment of reflection and celebration.
You know how I always use the beautiful Ram Dass quote, “We are all just walking each other home?”
To me, that quote speaks to “home” as the place where we feel the most like who we really are. “Home” is where we act from a place of love and where we feel grounded in peace and authentic joy. “Home” is our place on this planet.
I think part of “walking each other home” also has to do with the journey of our lives — and the final moments of breath.

I’m really excited that I have a new book launching soon that is essentially about that journey to the last breath.
This book shares so many messages that are important to me: being intentional about how we live and love, actively expressing our appreciation to people in our lives, spending time reflecting on what matters most to us, and taking responsibility for how we impact others.
“The Love List of a Lifetime” is filled with the nuts-and-bolts every family needs along with creative ways to leave behind lots of love in your own words.
💥💓💥
My celebration moment today has to do with one aspect of this book, which is storytelling.
You may not think of storytelling as a part of end-of-life planning, but it is! It is hugely important.
A recent trip with my son and my mom reminded me that our family stories are some of the most important legacies we can leave behind. I share a lot more about this with you in my recent article, “Preserving Family Stories: A Loving Act of End of Life Planning.”
When we take the time to ask, listen, and record, we give our families more than stories—we give them roots, resilience, and love.
End-of-life planning isn’t just about wills and paperwork; it’s also about preserving the voices and memories that keep us alive in one another’s hearts.
Gathering these stories is one of the most loving gifts we can leave behind: a legacy of connection that lasts for generations.
Keeping the stories alive keeps the love alive!
💥💓💥
I send you love today, my friend.
I send you a day that brings you a lot of connection through curiosity and questions and lots of stories.
We’re all in this together.
Thanks for who you are and for your beautiful spirit.
Seek celebration — even in the dark corners,
xo Sherry
✨ P.S. See that photo at the top? That is my son, my mom, and myself. My son is holding a photo that the Massillon Museum owns of my grandfather’s Albanian Coffee House from the 1930’s. What a treasure this trip was!
