This month’s Celebration Superstar is Shellan Peddle!
Shellan exemplifies the spirit of celebration in so many ways! She’s someone who creates tons of one-of-a-kind gifts for people in her life. She makes loving video or photo gifts that tug at the heartstrings and remind the recipients of shared memories.
I know she has also made at least a dozen Love Lists as gifts. Maybe more!
(If you are new to my world, a Love List is simply a brainstorm of specific reasons why we love someone and what makes them unique. It’s what you appreciate about them. This list can be sweet, funny, sexy, or serious. It can include any number of loving attributes, characteristics, or memories about someone. It is a simple idea with a profound impact.)
Shellan participates in my ongoing coaching group called “Olly Olly Oxen Free,” [because it is safe to come out of hiding!] and she always shows up, ready to share and to learn.
Shellan enthusiastically joins in every Creativity Party we have because creative expression is yet another form of celebration in her life.
(Sometimes she will move her video camera around her room and show us all of the colorful artwork, inspirational posters, and uplifting things she has made!)
Shellan is pictured up above holding a parasol because in one coaching session, we were talking about how much I love parasols. I was saying that the practice of taking a parasol to a park or beach always elevates the moment for me. And I like to think it brightens other people’s days.
Right away, Shellan tried it!
She bought a parasol and took some wonderful photos to share with us in our group. What joy, right?!
Shellan is dedicated to creativity, health, inspiration, joy, and connection.
That’s why today I’m raising a glass to her and recognizing her as my August Celebration Superstar. This is a monthly recognition for people who embody the spirit of Simply Celebrate and Say it Now.
Two more things I’m celebrating about Shellan:
- She’s someone who loves nature and celebrates the beauty of our planet. Whenever I ask our coaching group if anyone has seen anything beautiful, Shellan will always share a story about a lovely lake, a special tree, or small animals she saw on a hike up a mountain.
- Shellan is also someone who celebrates her blessings in life by volunteering her time and love to people who might be having a hard time or going through challenges. She loves to plan outings with people and surprise them with uplifting gifts.
There’s so much more I could say about Shellan. Trust me, she lives a life of celebration — not just for herself, but for others.
