Every year instead of giving material gifts, my West Coast clan creates a “Holiday Hoopla” for the folks in the MidWest. We plan a whole day of fun activities with games and prizes and lots of silliness. Then we top it off with a holiday dinner.
This year the theme was “Game-a-palooza” and it was loads of fun! We created a Scavenger Hunt, played a twist on a favorite family card game, and created personalized BINGO cards.
As well, we held a contest for the creation of the best board game box, jingle, and pitch for the (non-existent) “Holiday Hoopla” board game.
That’s a photo of my niece and me up above, along with one of our spirited light-up alien balloon friends. And that’s my fun family to the left!
