Welcome to your Sunday LoveGram. I’m grateful that you are here with me, week after week, to have conversations that matter.

Today, I send you a hummingbird popping out of a nearby bush to surprise you.
I send you a friendly golden retriever playfully bounding across the grass at an outdoor Zumba dance in the park.
I send you the delight of being the very first person to order your friend’s book and cheer her on.

Today’s LoveGram began with me pressing record and wondering what on earth I was going to talk about. Then I glanced over at my desk and saw a colorful card I had mailed to myself.
Hooray! inspiration!
Last month, during a group coaching circle I host, we played with the word abracadabra. We journaled, wrote a few haiku, and made cards to send to our future selves. (The prompt was, “What abracadabra do you want to bring into your life in the next month?”)
I sealed and stamped mine, but waited a while before putting it in the mail. By the time it arrived, I had totally forgotten what I’d written!
On the front, I’d given myself “Permission to see what is hidden or invisible or magic or mystical. Permission to believe in abracadabra.”
I’d added a dragonfly sticker, an old-fashioned clock, some colorful writing, and a very loose interpretation of a haiku.
It wasn’t polished. It sure wasn’t perfect. But when I opened it, I thought, Oh my gosh, this is so sweet.
And it arrived on a day when I needed a little oomph. A little magic.
Sometimes the person who can send us a small kindness is our earlier self.
That might mean mailing yourself a card to open weeks from now. It might mean washing the sheets so bedtime feels welcoming, putting on a song and really listening, or taking a few quiet breaths in the middle of a busy day.
In today’s audio, I tell you more about the card and about something my author friend Michelle calls a micro meditation: a couple of minutes to come home to yourself, wherever you are.

I appreciate you and am grateful for who you are and how you show up for your life and for the people you love.
There is so much hard stuff happening in the world, and we need every bit of kindness we can get. I hope we can all remember that some of it can come from ourselves, too!
What is one small kindness you could offer your future self today?
Maybe write a note and tuck it away. Maybe mail it. And when it finds its way back to you, let yourself fully receive it.
Seek celebration — even in dark corners,
xo Sherry
💝 P.S. I recently had a wonderful time hosting a launch party for my friend Michelle’s self-published book, Easy Meditation for Busy People. She had put so much care into writing and producing it, and it felt lovely to help her celebrate what she’d created. If you have a book or another accomplishment you’d like to celebrate, I’d love to help you organize a launch party. I can also help you brainstorm something you’re stuck on or offer an encouraging presence while you get something done. Just reply to this email and tell me what you’re working on. 💕 I love creative coaching/celebration projects!
đź’ť P.P.S. Twice a month, my friend and fellow coach, Shawn Buttner and I host a group called, “The Hard Stuff is Okay.” Afterward, we do a live conversation where we share what we learned. Follow along by signing up to receive notifications here. You can watch last week’s post-group-talk here.
