In the audio, I share a story about a TikTok trend that has made me smile countless times. My For You page is filled with women dressed as Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hamilton, sneaking out the window (or fire escape, dog door, or washing machine!) to the tune of “Best of Wives and Best of Women.”
These clever and fun women are digging up colonial garb and drawing beards with mascara. They are carrying candles, lanterns, lighters, you name it. They are using toilet paper as frilly shirts or wearing stilettos instead of sturdy boots.
Their joy and creativity was absolutely contagious. I wanted to participate. And so, I did.
