Today’s LoveGram was inspired by an audio I received from one of the beautiful women, Wren, who is in my group coaching circle, “Olly Olly Oxen Free.”
Wren sent me an audio earlier this week musing about last week’s LoveGram, which had to do with the Resistance Singers, who are walking the neighborhoods of Minneapolis and singing songs to let those who are sheltering in place know that they are not alone.
Wren was reflecting on how our own circle, this intimate group of women in Olly Olly, have been a life raft for one another ever since 2020 when the group formed.
The phrase, “Olly Olly Oxen Free” is rooted in the childhood game of hide-and-seek. It means, “it is safe to come out of hiding.”
I love the idea that we can be together in community and feel safe being exactly who we are.
Everyone wants to feel that they belong, that they are seen, and that they are loved for exactly who they are.
