Welcome to your Sunday audio LoveGram

In today’s LoveGram, I share with you something that was both really useful and also very fun that I did with my son on Mother’s Day.

You can do this, too!

This isn’t something specific to mom’s day and it doesn’t have to be a holiday at all! It also doesn’t have to be with a child. It can be with anyone you love β€” spouse, parent, sister, BFF …!

I tell you more in the audio, but here’s the spoiler: if you are someone who has any sort of boxes of memorabilia or saved sentimental stuff and you have a hard time getting rid of any of it, enlist someone’s aid and make the sorting and sifting a brand new memory.

My son spent more than eight hours with me going through boxes and boxes of his childhood papers and artwork that I’d saved.

This would have been a Herculean task for me β€” both super daunting and also really sad.

But you know what? Doing it together made it not only bearable, but FUN. We laughed a lot. We told stories. We joked about the crazy things I’d kept. (“Mom, this is a NAPKIN from my birthday party when I turned two. You DATED it as if it is a museum artifact!” or “Mom, you kept 30 of these same drawings. They look exactly alike.”)

I hope you try this if you have overwhelming stuff to sort through.

And, listen, if you are one of those amazing people who never kept all that stuff, then here’s what you can get from today’s LoveGram: offer to help someone go through their saved stuff. I promise you, it will be an amazing gift!

Thanks for being here today!

I know you want to bring more color and connection into your life.

We only have so many moments in our lives; let’s make ’em matter!

(But let’s not try to KEEP ’em all in boxes! Ha ha!)

Seek celebration β€” even in dark corners,
