Hello my friend!

Happy Friday.  Did you happen to listen to my LoveGram last Sunday called “Your Good Life?”

In it, I was talking about how essential it is that we each define for ourselves what success — or a good life — means to us.

It’s easy to think that what others believe or what we’ve been told is how we have to live or what we need to guide ourselves by.

But that is not true!

YOU hold all the keys in your own pocket.

💥💓💥

Since I recorded that LoveGram for you, I’ve continued to think a lot about all of this.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to share some thoughts on the Emerging Form podcast. And in doing so, I received quite a big gift that has to do with being asked to reflect on how I’ve lived my life.

The two hosts, Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer and Christie Aschwanden, chose a theme for the conversation that centered on creativity and kindness.

That theme helped me to understand that for me, a good life is one in which I am frequently creating or taking opportunities to be kind and/or to be creative.

Those moments can be large or small. They can be secret or open. They can earn money or not. What matters most is that they create some kind of joy — you know, what I call “pinpricks of light.”

The more light, the better life feels. To me.

💥💓💥

Here’s the link for you to listen to our conversation.

May it spark your own creativity.

May it help you consider your own definition of “good life.”

What does that look like for you right now?

I hope you will pause to consider this.

It is so important to know for ourselves so we aren’t using someone else’s measuring stick.

💥💓💥

I’m here with you.

Seek the light. Your own, unique light!

Seek celebration — even in the dark corners,

xo Sherry

💜 P.S. In case you are wondering what in the world that art at the top of the page has to do with this, it is that it goes with one of the stories I tell in the podcast episode about how we can LOVE the life we have, even when it doesn’t look quite like we had hoped. I’m not a musician. I have always wished I were. But look — I am in a fictitious band and we even have an album! (Listen to the podcast for more behind-the-scenes details!)

💜 P.P.S. What will YOU do today to love the life you have?
