Happy Galentine’s Day to all who celebrate it! 

If you haven’t heard of this quirky holiday, it was created in 2010 by a character, Leslie Knope, on the television show, Parks and Recreation. 

Galentine’s Day, celebrated on February 13th — TODAY!— is a day to honor and appreciate friendships among women. I like the idea of having a special day to bestow some added love on my women friends! 

And, if you are a guy who is reading this, I hope you will consider reaching out to some women friends and celebrating with them.

Let’s face it, life is feeling kind of hard for a lot of people lately. And, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, which can be one of those Hallmark holidays that makes people especially lonely if they are recently divorced, grieving a death, or simply not part of a romantic two-some.
