On March 3, 2017 many of us found out that the amazing, whimsical, spirited, wonderful writer and human, Amy Krouse Rosenthal, was dying.

Amy published an essay in the New York Times Modern Love column, called “You May Want to Marry My Husband,” in which she revealed that she had days to live.

Having organized a couple kindness events to help promote Amy’s book, “Plant a Kiss,” it was a no-brainer: I immediately posted that if anyone wanted to revive the Plant a Kiss event, it would be great to offer acts of kindness in Amy’s honor.

More than 100 people joined the Facebook group dedicated to Plant a Kiss 2017.

Each person committed to offering an act or acts of kindness in the world and to sharing their story on March 17th.

Below you will find the links to some of the dozens of stories in celebration of Amy’s loving spirit.

Being in this community over the past couple weeks has helped ease the grief. I hope these stories bring you joy. I hope these stories help keep Amy’s kind heart alive in spirit.

Please visit as many blogs/posts as you can. And leave kind comments for the writers. (As the poet Ellen Bass so beautifully said, “What would people look like if we could see them as they are, soaked in honey, stung and swollen, reckless, pinned against time?)
