I’m glad you are here.

Today I send you a cherry popsicle on a hot summer’s day.

I send you the humming sound of the cicadas.

I send you the memory of your mother’s laughter or her famous cookies, fresh from the oven.

I appreciate you!

You inspire me.

You lift my spirits.

💥💓💥

I’ve pre-recorded today’s LoveGram for you because I will be away at a silent meditation retreat when Sunday rolls around.

In today’s LoveGram, I share some thoughts about how much it meant to me to travel unexpectedly to Ohio for a funeral this week.

I recorded the audio from my mom’s porch, while looking across the street to the house where my best friend from junior high and high school lived while we were growing up.

Her mom, Fran, just died last week, and in today’s audio I share some of the beautiful legacy Fran left behind. She was always so welcoming, friendly, and warm. She always opened the door with a smile. Fran would put out plates of cookies, nuts, and berries.

Today’s LoveGram is a gentle invitation to show up.

To show up, like Fran did, when anyone knocked on her door. And to show up for the funeral, the wedding, or the family reunion.

It is always worth the time and expense of traveling for life’s big moments with the people we love.

Don’t let the busyness of everyday life distract you from what really matters, which is the people we love.

Show up. You will be glad you did.

💥💓💥

I’m grateful to you for being here and sharing this time with me.

You are so much more than you often remember.

You are truly beautiful.

May someone open the door for you with the same warmth Fran always did.

And may you keep reminding people, simply by the way you live, that showing up is one of the deepest forms of love.

Seek celebration — even in dark corners,

xo Sherry
