Welcome to your Sunday LoveGram.

I appreciate you so much for being here with me.

You help me to show up and look for the pinpricks of light — even when the room feels the darkest.

You help me seek out the meaning and find the appreciation in the smallest of moments.

I’m grateful for you!

Today’s LoveGram was recorded from the little town in Ohio where my mom lives. I decided to walk while I recorded to you. And I was struck by the beautiful sound of the birds. In particular, I heard a mourning dove in the distance and that sweet, yet sad, sound made me think about the way that joy and grief are often interwoven.

(I hope you can hear her on the audio!)

Hearing that mourning dove reminded me of an author panel I facilitated earlier this week called “Spirited Aging.” We had three women authors between the ages of 79 and 87.

They all shared that part of aging is loss. That growing older is a practice of finding beauty every day, even when there are also losses every day.

They also shared how essential it is to stay as present in the moment as possible. Otherwise, we will miss it and can get lost in the regret of the past or the worries of the future.

Another thing I learned from these three wise and beautiful women is how essential it is to stay connected to what matters to us and to maintain our enthusiasm for our work, our family, our friends, our interests, and our growth.

I explore this more in today’s LoveGram.

I appreciate you and am grateful for who you are and how you show up for your life and for the people you love — and for me.

We are all just walking each other home. (Thank you Ram Dass, for this quote.)

Seek celebration — even in dark corners,

xo Sherry

💝 P.S. I loved the “Spirited Aging” Author Panel so much and wanted to share it with you. You can watch it here, on my YouTube channel!
