Sunday Audio LoveGram: March 27, 2022

Hello, my beautiful friend.

Today I send you an unbroken sidewalk that connects all the towns of the world.

I send you small purple flowers that grow along both sides of that sidewalk.

I send you someone to walk with, hand in hand.

I send you sunshine and clean air.

Today’s audio LoveGram was a small journey.

It was an unfolding.

It started with the simple memory of a passage I read my coaching group last week, that I wanted to share with you.

And how that passage led to a song and to Ukraine and to my wish for you to be able to hold all the questions in your own heart.

(To listen to the audio, just scroll down on this page and click play on the audio player below!)

I hope you’ll listen to today’s audio and reflect on what it means for you.

Please be gentle with yourself, don’t rush by, give yourself some space.

Here is the Rainer Maria Rilke quote, from the book, “Letters to a Young Poet,” that my friend Rachel gave me back in college, forty years ago:

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue.

Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them.

And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now.

Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”

I ask you these three things today:

  • Do you have a book or passage that has guided you in your own life? Would this be a good time to return to it?
  • Do you have a question that you are holding in your own heart? Can you be patient and allow yourself to live into the answer?
  • Are you hurting or troubled? Can you ask, “How can I help?” and be your own best friend? Or, do you know someone who is hurting? Do you want to offer help to a friend, family member, neighbor, or someone across the globe?

I hope you will listen to my audio today. It was a practice of trusting. It was a practice of letting life unfold. It was a short 15-minute journey I got to take with you.

Hand in hand, we walk each other home.

Little by little, we see and learn more about how to live and love more deeply.

Thank you for being here.

You are not alone.

Thank you for the ways you practice love.

Seek celebration — even in dark corners,

xo Sherry

P.S. Here is one Ukrainian Etsy Shop where you can download art for $10 or more. There are many others to choose from. Search on “Ukrainian Sellers.” You can also search Airbnb for places to rent in Ukraine. Book them, then send a note to let the owner know you aren’t staying there, you just want to help. (Note: always do a little research to make sure these are actual Ukrainian sellers/hosts. I look for reviews that have been up for months.)
