Live the questions.

10-16-2012

I was on a coaching call yesterday with a dear client. We were talking about how so much of life is unresolved at any moment. That things are always unfolding and how helpful it can be when we stop trying to figure things out and instead, let go into trusting that which we do not know.

During that conversation, one of my favorite quotes dropped in (from a book I read 20+ years ago) and I wanted to share it with you:

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”
